Last year Harborough Portas became a member of the Charity Link Proud Business Club
Charity Link works to ensure that people in financial hardship are dry, warm, clean, safe, and fed. They improve well-being, dignity, and standards of living by providing essential items such as clothing (including school uniforms), beds, white goods and, in emergencies, helping with food and utilities.
Charity Link’s Proud Business Club provides vital support to the local community in Leicestershire, Rutland, and Northamptonshire. Joining the Proud Business Club was our way of supporting and improving the lives of individuals and families in need across the region. As a business, Harborough Portas are passionate about supporting local charities and ensuring that all local people have the basics in life that everyone needs.
At the end of last year, we went a step further and nominated Charity Link for the Aviva Broker Community Fund. We are delighted to say that Charity Link has been shortlisted as a finalist!
As well as the chance to win funding from the Aviva Broker Community Fund, Charity Link also now has the opportunity for people or businesses to donate to them through their newly launched Crowdfunding page, where Aviva will match your donations!*
Due to Charity Links unique way of working, untapping funds from charitable trusts, every £10 donated will provide £50 of essential items - this means that with the Aviva match funding, every £10 donation will provide £100 of essential items to local people and children in need.
We’d love Harborough Portas clients and contacts to support this amazing cause. If you would like to help improve the health, well-being, and dignity of the most vulnerable people, now is the perfect chance to make an even bigger impact -but this opportunity is only available until 24 March 2025!
Please also share these details with your clients and contacts, as Charity Link is currently facing a real challenge in raising funds and meeting the community's needs.
*As part of the Aviva Community Fund, Aviva will match every individual donation up to £250. Charities can receive up to £50,000 in match funding in total.
